Number lock-a challenge for the mathematics whiz-kids, as simple as that.
Untainted mathematics is the world’s unsurpassed amusement. It is more fascinating than chess, more of a gamble than poker, and lasts longer than Monopoly. It’s free. It can be played anywhere. Set the gears of your brain for one of the most beguiling events.
This event will make your brain reverberate to its maxima. It is an event to test your knowledge about some of the most amazing mathematics and your ability to work in a team efficiently. So steel up your neurons to locate the key and release the lock to bag extravagant rewards.

  1.  A team can have at most two participants. Lone wolves are also allowed
  2.  The contestants need not be from the same institute.
  3.  The participants are asked to produce their college ID cards at the time of registration.(Registrations are on the spot)
  4.  There is no restriction on the year the participants are studying in.
  5.  Teams indulging in any sort of unjust means will be debarred from the event immediately.
  6.  The judgment of the coordinators is concluding and binding.

This event consists of 2 rounds: Prelims and finals.

Prelims:

  • The duration of the prelims is 1 hour.
  • No calculators or Clark’s table books are allowed
  • It consists of 30 questions, out of which 10 are MCQ’s and the remaining can be in any format.
  • The questions that are starred would be considered in case of any tie

Finals:

The top 10 % of the total no. of teams will be shortlisted for the final round.

The teams will have to go through 2 phases of examination.

  • The first phase would be RAPID FIRE round where the contestants can use calculators as aid and come up with solutions.
  • The second phase will be a RELAY round in which the two contestants A1 and A2 of a team A have to contest individually (It functions like a relay).The team which comes up with the correct solution at the earliest will have the maximum points.
