Round-1-Prelims

  1. General DBMS multiple choice questions
  • RDBMS related general questions.
  • Relational Algebra
  • Transaction concepts(serializability, Locking protocols, Recovery, Concurrency)
  • Query processing
  • Join operations
  • Hashing concepts
  • Data Tuning
2. SQL Queries

Round-2-Finals

  • A scenario will be given.
  • Based on that, a proper ER-Diagram should be drawn.
  • Normalized tables should be created.

Queries, Triggers, Procedures have to be executed based on the tables created.

Totally 3 prices will be given.

            Round-1 Prelims

  • There can be any number of teams.
  • Maximum of only 2 members in a team are allowed.
  • General DBMS based questions and queries will be asked.
  • Each general DB question will be evaluated for one mark and queries for five marks.
  • No negative marks.
  • Total of 35 minutes will be given to complete the prelims.

            Round-2 Finals

  • This will be a lab session.
  • Drawing tool should be used for drawing ER Diagrams.
  • Same two members have to participate in the final round also.
  • Time given for final round is 1 hour.
